Affiliated Faculty, Organizational Dynamics Programs

Dr. Preston V. L. Lindsay is an organizational psychologist focused on the systemic impacts of organizational trauma. His research reveals how trauma embeds itself as patterns of dysregulation and disconnection, often driven by destructive leadership, chronic stress, and systemic oppression. By integrating systems thinking, Black feminist thought, and cognitive neuroscience, he develops human-centered interventions that promote repair, resilience, and transformation within organizations.

Dr. Preston Lindsay is Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at Rutgers GSAPP, where he serves on the organizational psychology faculty. He mentors doctoral students and teaches courses in applied systems theory, organizational development, and change. Dr. Lindsay also directs the Organizational Trauma Intervention Studies Lab (OTIS Lab) at Rutgers GSAPP. In addition, he is a lecturer in the Organizational Dynamics Programs at the University of Pennsylvania.

Beyond academia, Dr. Lindsay is the founder and president of The Lindsay Group Co., a boutique organization development consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations overcome systemic dysfunction and cultivate high-performing, human-centered systems. He also serves on the editorial board of the Organization Development Review and is a former vice chair of the Organization Development Network.
