Beginning in fall 2026, the Organizational Dynamics Programs are moving to a low-residency format, offering greater flexibility for ambitious students who work full time while pursuing their degree. Now you can complete your coursework online in an immersive virtual environment, with scheduled synchronous meetings to invite discussion and reflection with your peers. Select courses require one or two in-person sessions on campus, bringing our remarkable students and faculty together for a weekend of on-campus learning and the opportunity to build lifelong connections.

If you would like to take Organizational Dynamics Programs courses, but are not interested in obtaining a degree, consider applying to our non-degree option, the Organizational Dynamics Gateway Program. This program offers non-degree students the unique opportunity to hone their professional skills by enrolling in up to two courses.
As a non-degree student, you are held to the same academic standards as the Organizational Dynamics Programs graduate degree students. You will earn a grade that is posted on a University of Pennsylvania transcript.
Students who successfully complete their coursework and who are admitted into one of the Organizational Dynamics Programs graduate degree programs may apply the courses taken as a non-degree student to their degree program.
Eligibility
To join the Organizational Dynamics Gateway Program, candidates must complete an application and be offered admission into the program. All Organizational Dynamics Programs courses are offered in low-residency hybrid or online formats, making it possible to study through the non-degree program regardless of where you live and work. Successful applicants hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited US institution and possess at least a 3.0 grade point average in their undergraduate studies. In addition, candidates must have completed at least five years of full-time, management-related, professional work. Standardized tests such as the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) are not required when applying for the Organizational Dynamics Gateway Program.
The Organizational Dynamics Programs Admissions Committee considers each candidate's application materials holistically as part of a selective admissions process. The Admissions Committee thoroughly examines all aspects of each candidate's academic background and work experiences as evidence of their academic potential, intellectual strength, and ability to contribute to classroom discussions and applied learning.
Students who have been denied admission to an Organizational Dynamics Program must wait one calendar year before reapplying. This policy does not impact a student’s ability to apply to other programs at the University of Pennsylvania at any time.
