Penn’s Organizational Dynamics Programs

Penn’s Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics students

Understanding the people side of work

Penn’s Organizational Dynamics Programs study the people, systems, and cultures that shape—and can reshape—our work lives. By equipping mid-career professionals with the essential tools to improve organizational life, our programs fuse research-based knowledge rooted in the arts and sciences with practical applications. This approach examines the subtleties of human behavior within existing systems, addresses multi-dimensional challenges, and transforms organizational culture.

We offer two degrees: a Master of Science and a Master of Philosophy. We also offer learning opportunities for non-degree students.

As an Organizational Dynamics Programs degree student, you will:

  • Build outstanding networks with members of Penn's world-renowned faculty and talented peers who span industries across the world
  • Choose from concentrations such as Leadership and Organizational Coaching, Organizational Culture and Change, and Sustainable Development
  • Work with Penn faculty to design an experience that is profoundly relevant to your professional goals
  • Immerse yourself in practical, academically rigorous learning experiences structured to meet the needs and time demands of busy working professionals

If you are interested in studying organizational dynamics without committing to a degree, the Dynamics Learning Exchange offers the opportunity to unlock your professional potential by taking up to two courses.

Our programs give you the confidence to take on greater cross-functional responsibilities, facilitate change and innovation, and ultimately impact performance throughout your organization.

Kelly Rebmann Shepperson

“Penn’s Organizational Dynamics shifts the paradigm around coaching in a fundamental way. You gain an entirely different understanding of what it means to coach human beings against their goals and aspirations, and not necessarily a company’s.”

Ebighe Emafo

“The MPhil gave me more flexibility in terms of the courses I wanted to focus on. I truly enjoyed all my classes: the collaboration, the project work, the openness in class where you learn from each other’s perspectives.”
