Penn’s Master of Applied Positive Psychology

Dr. Martin E.P. Seligman, Penn’s Master of Applied Positive Psychology

Learn from leaders in the field from anywhere in the world

Developed by one of the founders of positive psychology, Dr. Martin E.P. Seligman, the University of Pennsylvania’s Master of Applied Positive Psychology program educates students at the cutting edge of this transformative field. A background in psychology is not required for this degree; our diverse community of students and alumni includes professionals from a variety of fields such as healthcare, human resources, and education. With interactive distance learning modules combined with monthly weekend sessions on campus, you can pursue a full-time master’s degree without relocating to Philadelphia or interrupting your career.

Program format: For 2023-2024, MAPP will host three on-site weekends on our Philadelphia campus and two synchronous virtual weekends. Synchronous attendance for all on-sites is required. Please see the updated Program Format & Schedule page for more information.
