Advanced Proficiency I

This course is for students with advanced language background in Japanese, who are interested in taking at least a Level 2 Japanese Proficiency Test. Solid grammar, an extensive vocabulary, and knowledge of at least 800-900 Chinese characters is required. This course is not continuous with existing 300-level Japanese course; grades from 300-level course do not qualify for this course. Eligibility is determined through an oral interview and placement test given during the first meeting. Students are required to take the Japanese Proficiency Test in December.
